{Fitness Tip}: Planks!

the plank is an excellent core strengthener.

  • lay face down on the floor.
  • place hands under shoulders as if preparing for push-ups.
  • come up on toes then put weight on your knees and bring your torso up with your head in line with your back.
  • slowly come up with your knees to form a straight line from your feet to your head like a plank with arms straight.

another version of this is to only come up on your bent elbows with your forearms resting on the ground and hands in a loose fist.  either way keep your core strong and hold several seconds then rest. and begin again 🙂
