it may be that the reward centers of the brain that drive snacking are less activated after exercise. the mood boost you get from working out might also subconsciously short-circuit your desire for a high-cal pick-me-up.
so next time you get home from work instead of heading for the cookie jar (which you really should have ditched by now) try grabbing a bottle of water and jumping on the track for a few minutes or just speed walking down the street for a bit.
